September 1 - 13Used Sporting Goods Fundraiser
Have any unused sports equipment around the house? As a fundraising and community event, we are collecting new and used sporting equipment in a bin at the recycle depot in Devon till September 13th. If you would use it, it can be donated! We are then offering it for sale by donation at the Community Awareness Night at the community hall on the 14th. Any left over items will be donated to a children's sports charity. Items can include golf, hockey, weights and soccer equipment, fishing poles, rackets, baseball gloves and bats, ski and snowboards items... We cannot accept bicycles, helmets, lifejackets or any safety regulated items. Thanks for your help! This fundraiser is co-ordinated by the Devon Band Parents Association

Gord Bamford and Brett Kissel will put down their picks and pick up their sticks to kick off 2010 Canadian Country Music Week. The Bamford & Kissel Pics and Sticks charity hockey tournament will be held on Wednesday, September 8 at the Leduc Rec Centre (LRC). He suffered a broken back and spinal cord injury and is now paralyzed from the chest down.
