(December 8, 2014)
In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 7, 2014, Beaumont RCMP were called to assist the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission (AGLC) at a licenced establishment in Beaumont. The AGLC Inspector had observed persons drinking outside the bar. Police attended to assist with the matter, and while on scene an intoxicated male urinated on the driver's side door of a police car. When officers attempted to arrest the male for mischief, a short fight ensued. The male broke free and fled the scene on foot. The RCMP's Police Dog Service (PDS) was called to the scene. With assistance from PDS and a local taxi company, the male was located and arrested without further incident. The officers fortunately were not seriously injured.
