Royal Caribbean Cruise Line has launched their newest and most innovative cruise ship. The Oasis of the Seas is the largest and most revolutionary cruise ship in the world. An architectural marvel at sea, she spans 16 decks, carries 5400 guests and weighs in at 225,282 gross registered tons.
The Oasis of the Seas is the first cruise ship to tout the 'neighbourhood' concept of seven distinct themed areas, including Central Park, Boardwalk, The Royal Promenade, the multiple Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Centre, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.
Uniquely featured on this ship are 12,000 plants and trees in the Central Park area, two FlowRider surf simulators, two rock climbing walls, a hand carved carousel, thrilling zip line rides that race diagonally over the games and casual dining areas of the Boardwalk, 90 feet above the deck, and the AquaTheatre-an amphitheatre style space that serves as a pool by day and a dazzling oceanfront theatre by night.
There are 37 categories of staterooms on the ship ranging in size from 150 square feet to over 1500 square feet some with concierge service.
With nightly guest entertainers, a comedy club, jazz bar, big band to disco array of music venues, the 'Casino Royale' and one-of-a-kind ice shows, there is entertainment for all tastes.
Royal Caribbean is a leader in youth programming. The Oasis offers their 'Adventure Ocean' activities for all youth, divided into different age appropriate groups. This is a vibrant, educational and entertaining way to keep the kids busy.
