Influenza Immunization Clinics: Update

EDMONTON – H1N1 and seasonal influenza vaccine continue to be available at mass vaccination clinics in Edmonton until the end of January. Alberta Health Services is committed to providing vaccine to all Albertans who want it, and encourages residents to get immunized.
All Albertans over six months of age are eligible to receive the H1N1 vaccine, and all individuals in high-risk categories are also eligible to receive the seasonal influenza vaccine. Visit www.albertahealthservices.ca for immunization information, including seasonal vaccine eligibility.
Please be advised of the following Edmonton immunization clinic hours and locations:
• East Edmonton Health Centre (7910-112 Ave):
Wednesdays & Thursdays (January 13 & 14, 20 & 21, 27 & 28) from 1-8 p.m.
Saturday (January 23) from 1-8 p.m.
• Millbourne Mall (38 Ave & Millwoods Road):
Mondays & Tuesdays (January 18 & 19, 25 & 26) from 1-8 p.m.
H1N1 and seasonal influenza immunization is also available at the following health centres (by appointment only):

The H1N1 vaccine is now also available from some physician offices and some pharmacies.
Please bring a piece of identification and your health card, and wear short sleeves if possible.
Immunization is the single best defense against influenza. A third wave of influenza is expected this year, and Alberta Health Services recommends that all Albertans over six months of age protect themselves by getting immunized in the coming weeks.
