re: Leduc Radio

Where are you on the dial?
Do not be aggravated when you try looking for us on the dial. We aren't there. Due to technological advances and Governmental policies and agendas, Leduc County will not be getting an AM nor an FM radio station. It has nothing to do with us nor any group like ours, it has more to do with any radio station that was set up in Leduc County would be able to broadcast to the Edmonton markets – and the Edmonton markets are full.
But – Have no fear. Technology is moving much faster than the Government Agencies. In most countries of the World, internet radio, far out reaches AM or FM, by more than 7:1. AND listeners of Intent Radio have a tendency to stay "tuned in" for much longer periods of time.
But you are broadcasting via the internet. How does your listener ship stack up against those AM/FM signals coming from Edmonton or Wettaskawin?
The #1 radio station in Edmonton has a less than 13% market share. And the average listener from all of its sources, stays tuned in for less than 14 minutes per day. Most of the smaller stations have between 3-5.5 % market share. Since turning the switch we have steadily increased our daily numbers, but one of the constants has been that our listeners stays on typically for 2+ hours each day. People who tune into Leduc Radio actually want to hear about Leduc County events, news, and information.
